JOB TITLE: Assistant Community Manager
SALARY: £22k – £25k depending on experience.

LINE MANAGER: Community Manager
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: To support the Community Manager in managing communities on Discord, Steam forums, and social media, along with day-to-day content creation tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the Community Manager in their strategic planning, production and execution of all community activities and social initiatives for Fireshine Games channels and agreed game channels.
Specific focus on Discord, Reddit, and Steam forums, informing players of the latest game updates and answering any questions they may have.
• Moderating Discord channels, making sure everyone is following the community guidelines and taking appropriate steps to manage inappropriate users etc.
• Play our games and capture gameplay footage and screenshots for our Community Manager to use for creating videos, gifs, and other media from.
• Where required, monitor and report on feedback from the community to the company & the developer for projects you’re involved in.
• Analyse competitor channels to understand what is trending or resonating & look externally for inspiration & ideas we can integrate into our campaigns.
• Support the Community Manager with game launches on social media channels. Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner.
• Where required, monitor and report on feedback from the community to the company & the developer for projects you’re involved in.
• Coordinate with Marketing, PR and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency on social media channels.
• Be one of the faces of Fireshine Games to empower our players to connect and contribute – be there for their joys, triumphs, challenges, emergencies and everything in between.
• Promoting Fireshine Games and its products at events and support community activity including contests, local events, cosplay meet-ups etc.
• Communicating to the consumers and the games’ community information from the developers.
• At events, creating content (from photos and videos to discussion topics and recommendations) to engage and excite consumers and partners.
• In your role you will learn to identify the tone of voice for different games, the USPs, target audience and how to pull together a social media plan.
• You will be given responsibility for creating content for one of our game social channels and updating Loomly with the scheduled content for approval by internal stakeholders & release.
KEY INTERNAL CONTACTS: Working closely with all departments within Fireshine Games especially the Product Marketing team; acquisitions; PR; Sales & our external Community team.
KEY EXTERNAL CONTACTS: 71 Consultancy; First Parties; development partners; social media platform holders; creative agencies.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Self-motivated and able to work closely with team members across all disciplines.
• Able to work in a a high level of multi-tasking and fast-moving environment.
• Be solution oriented, attentive to details as well as a strong communicator & collaborator.
• Experienced using Discord and Reddit.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Ability to write copy for our channels & proof read content.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and follow-through skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to set priorities within multiple tasks/projects.
• Good knowledge of different social media channels.
• Passionate about indie videogames.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills.
